 POSITION SUMMARY:

This role covers Sourcing, Merchandizing, and Marketing

 PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Key Results Area):

 

  • Translate the company’s strategy into a commercial strategy targeting the right market, products, etc.
  • Define the brands to be targeted
  • Source the brands at best quality, price, availability, etc. in order to maximize sales & gross profits (accountability)
  • Define pricing policy
  • In charge of market survey
  • Define the merchandizing & promotion strategy for higher sales
  • Setting and executing the trade marketing calendar
  • Set the marketing strategy and implement with 3rd parties
  • Create a valuable network of suppliers and maintains very good relationships with the current ones
  • Negotiating supplier contracts for all back margins (rebates, gondola, listing fees…)
  • Set all KPI related to the function and insure proper reporting with gap analysis
  • Responsible of coordinating Operation & Finance team

 

 KNOWLEDGE, Skills & Experience

  • Education: Master degree in Business Administration or any similar field.
  • Language: English and Portuguese (or Spanish) are a must.
  • Knowledge: Experience in retail and FMCG for supermarkets in emerging markets out of them min 5 years in leadership positions, mainly in Commercial roles, buying & category management
  • Computer skills: PC literate
